ECS Engineering’s recipe handling and mixer control system has been upgraded with new standard features, extended capabilities and, a new interface.
The new system is available as an upgrade to existing mixers and is delivered as standard with all new ECS mixers and offers unprecedented flexibility to production staff.
The operator interface has been redesigned to offer a clearer view of the process to operators. This new design is now a feature of all ECS equipment giving a common feel across the entire plant where ECS equipment is used.
NEW FEATURES
Complete individual recipe configuration
Each recipe now carries this information giving the ability to optimise the product based on best practice for the desired results. No more universal settings for ingredient delivery (i.e. set point or percentage).
Two stage water drop
This configurable parameter allows the total water content to be split, with the initial water addition performed as normal and, a second water addition at the selected point in the process. This is of particular use when producing certain grain and seeded breads.
Two stage ingredient addition
The mixer can be configured to perform one or two stops during the process for the addition of ingredients such as fruit.
Configurable mixing speed profile
Where the option for a variable speed drive controlled main motor is taken, the speed throughout the mix process can be modulated for best performance. This can be a simple slow combine after adding fruit or a complex series of speed changes throughout the total mix time.
The ECS Maintenance Assistant
The ECS Maintenance Assistant provides operators and maintenance personnel with a guide to preventive maintenance. When a maintenance operation is due the operator interface prompts the operator to perform the task. Instructions for the task are provided in the prompt. The completion of the task is notified by the operator and time stamped against the logged in operators details.
Recipe Memory and Production Schedule extensions
The recipe memory has been extended to accommodate 99 recipes, and the production schedule can now be programmed to 99 steps.
Calibration of weigh hoppers
Calibration of weigh hoppers has been simplified to a single button press and each ingredient name is configurable from the operator interface.
