Richard Fenton, the C.E.O., formed Electrical Control Systems Limited (trading as ECS Engineering) in May 1980. ECS is based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
ECS has been involved with the baking and food industries throughout New Zealand and Australia since 1980 working extensively with the major industrial bakers in both countries providing technical solutions. This has allowed ECS to develop a wide range of products and services for the baking industry and other food industries. The company has worked mainly on electrical and mechanical projects from design, manufacturing to installation and commissioning, varying from small to large projects.
At the present time the company supplies equipment to industrial bakeries in Australia and New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Zambia, China and Singapore.
ECS designs and manufacture mixers, automatic product and ingredient handling systems including conveying systems; bin tippers for grain; bulk bag handling systems; soaked grain handling systems; and PLC based recipe handling systems for full plant automation. ECS has also designed patented CIP Systems for both Horizontal and MDD Mixers.
